FIDEP is Committed, through Result Oriented Monitoring, to promote sustainable forest livelihoods and landscapes, community water management, IWM, climate change adaptation, sustainable energy for all among others.
FIDEP provides technical support for project monitoring using the Result Oriented Monitoring (ROM) system. ROM aims simply provides an external opinion on project implementation based on the following criteria:
-
Relevance is the extent to which the objectives of a development intervention are consistent with beneficiaries’ requirements, country needs, global priorities and partners’ and donors’ policies.
-
Efficiency is the measure of how economically resources/inputs (funds, expertise, time, etc.) are converted into outputs.
-
Effectiveness is the extent to which the development intervention’s objectives were achieved, or are expected to be achieved, taking into account their relative importance.
-
Sustainability is the continuation of benefits from a development intervention after major development assistance has been completed.
ROM enables the project implementing partners to:
-
Identify issues in the design (particularly logframe, result indicators and baseline), efficiency, effectiveness and sustainability of their project,
-
Make recommendations to improve these areas and advance the project implementation in terms of outputs and outcomes,
-
Reinforce both Project Level and Organizational Level collaborations.
